Anti-inflammatory and pain relief drugs

1. Glucocorticoid anti-inflammatory:

  • Note: Not for use in people with osteoporosis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, hypertension, and hyperglycemia.

2. Enzyme-based anti-inflammatory:

  • Alphachymotrypsin:
  • Dosage: 21 microkatal – 4200 USP units, 42 microkatal – 8400 USP units.
  • How to use: Suck under the tongue.
  • Trade names: alphachoay, katrypsin, chymok.

3. Combined anti-inflammatory:

  • Betamethason + Dexchlopheniramin: Dosage 0.5 – 2.
  • Celextavin: Betamethason 0.5 mg + Dexchlopheniramin 2 mg.
  • Methylprednisolon:
  • Medrol: Available in 2 strengths (4mg, 6mg).
  • Prednisolon:
  • Dosage: 5 mg, 10 mg.
  • Sovepred: Prednisolon 5mg.
  • How to use: Dosage 0.14-2mg/kg/day, taken 2-4 times/day. Respiratory tract inflammation should be taken 1-2 times/day, usually at a dose of 0.25-0.5mg/kg/day.
  • Mekocetin: Betamethason 0.5mg.
  • Hydrocortison:
  • Huhajo: Hydrocortison 10mg.
  • Dexamethason:
  • Dosage: 0.5 mg.

4. Diclofenac:

  • Dosage: 25mg, 50mg, 75mg, 100mg.
  • Maximum dose: 150 mg/day.
  • Available forms: Topical, injection, suppository, oral.
  • Voltaren: Sodium diclofenac.
  • Cataflam: Potassium diclofenac, commonly used for menstrual cramps.
  • Voltaren suppository: Commonly used for pain relief after childbirth for women who have had a cesarean section.
  • Dobutane: Diclofenac spray.
  • Aceclofenac: Diclofenac 100mg.

5. Floctafenine:

  • Idarac: Floctafenine 200mg.
  • Action: Simple pain relief, not anti-inflammatory fever reduction.

6. Ketoprofen:

  • Nidal 50: Ketoprofen 50 mg.

7. Nabumeton:

  • Suntab: Nabumeton 500mg.

8. Ibuprofen:

  • Dosage: 400mg, 600mg.
  • Dosage: 5 – 10 mg/kg, 6-8h/time.
  • Brufen: Ibuprofen syrup.
  • Ibrafen: Ibuprofen syrup.
  • Ibumed: Ibuprofen 400mg.
  • Gofen: Ibuprofen 400mg.
  • Aginofen: Ibuprofen 600mg.
  • Using NSAIDs for older adults with hypertension: Topical ointment.

9. Lornoxicam:

  • Dosage: 4 mg, 8mg.
  • Vocfor: Lornoxicam (4,8mg).
  • Livorax: Lornoxicam.

10. Mefenamic Acid:

  • Dofenal: Mefenamic acid.

11. Piroxicam:

  • Maximum dose: 20mg/day.
  • Brexin: Piroxicam 20mg.

12. Meloxicam:

  • Dosage: 7.5 15mg.
  • Maximum dose: 15mg/day.
  • Mobimed: Meloxicam.
  • Stadxicam: Meloxicam.
  • Mobic: Meloxicam.

13. Etoricoxib:

  • Arcoxia: Etoricoxib 60-90-120.
  • Maximum dose: 1 tablet/day (90-120).

14. Celecoxib:

  • Maximum dose: 400mg/day.
  • Celebrex: Celecoxib.
  • Fexicure: Celecoxib.

15. Diacerin:

  • Action: Pain relief 50mg.
