Note:
- When Ammonium Chloride solution is introduced into the blood, ammonium ions (NH4+) can easily pass through the red blood cell membrane, posing a risk of hemolysis (destruction of red blood cells).
- Adding Glucose to the solution can help increase the stability of the red blood cell membrane, minimizing the risk of hemolysis.
